Convener, ERIO Apostle Ayo Babalola Power Explosion

Early Life and Trials

Hezekiah Oluboye Oladeji was born on February 13, 1967, in Oloba Compound, Edun Abon, Osun State, Nigeria. His father, Pa David Oladeji, was a devoted Christian of the Baptist extraction, while his mother, Madam Elizabeth Oyeronke Oladeji, raised him with love and care.

Young Hezekiah attended Baptist Primary School in Edun-Abon. He was a brilliant pupil with a sharp mind, but a persistent sickness that often assailed him — one that eventually affected his legs — limited his ability to pursue education to the level he personally desired. The sickness was so severe that it nearly crippled him.

😢

"As the sickness which almost crippled him continued to assail the young Hezekiah unabated, he lost his mother in 1982, in the quest to get a cure."

With his health challenges preventing him from completing secondary education, his father made the difficult decision to apprentice him to Abela Oye, an auto mechanic in Osogbo. What was supposed to be a four-year training extended to six years due to his physical limitations.

A Life-Changing Encounter

The move to Osogbo would prove to be the turning point of his life. On the very day he arrived in the town in 1983, he joined the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC). He accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Saviour, and his life took on a new direction. He began to devote himself entirely to fasting, prayer, and the study of God's Word.

✝️

"He received healing for his leg problem and did away with crutches. With this miracle, he told God he was going to serve Him in the Christ Apostolic Church forever."

The Divine Call

His call into ministry came swiftly after his conversion. As a truly born-again Christian, he devoted himself to God through intense prayers, prolonged fasting, diligent Bible reading, and passionate evangelism. One night in 1985, while alone in the church, he experienced what he describes as a "daylight vision." Jesus Christ and Apostle Babalola appeared to him with a clear message:

👁️

"We are sending you on a mission in Christ Apostolic Church. You must be obedient and must not copy anybody."

Years of Struggle and Preparation

After completing his apprenticeship and working as a journeyman, Hezekiah attempted to establish his own mechanic workshop. Despite his skills, nothing prospered. He grew poorer and resorted to menial jobs — carrying goods for people, laboring on farms — doing anything to survive.

In 1992, driven by a desire to understand his calling better, he enrolled at the Babajide School of Prophets and Evangelists. Midway through the course, God instructed Prophet Babajide to single him out for graduation. The Prophet told him, "God has taught you from heaven." His certificate was signed, but Hezekiah hid it in a box under his bed. He was not yet ready to heed the call.

The Mountain Encounter

Despite being a devoted servant of God who began every year with 21 days of fasting and prayer on different mountains, Hezekiah carried a heavy burden — his wife had not conceived. Rather than seek alternatives that contradicted his faith, he intensified his prayers.

During one of his routine prayer sessions, God directed him to two mountains. He located the first, prayed, and proceeded to the second — then called Ido Ajuwon, now known as Ido Ajinare. On this mountain, God spoke clearly:

🏔️

"I have heard all your cries and pleas, but I won't answer now. Go to the Mountain of Mercy, Erio, where you will receive new instructions."

Obeying without hesitation, Prophet Hezekiah made his way to the Mountain of Mercy in Erio, Ekiti State. This mountain, once vibrant with the prayers of Apostle Babalola, had become overgrown and largely forgotten. But when Hezekiah arrived and prayed, God spoke with unmistakable clarity:

🎁

"I have heard your cry, and I have answered your prayers. I will bless you with a female child, and I will also bless you with a car tomorrow as proof that I have answered your prayers."

Just as God spoke, it happened. The female child came. The car manifested. This miraculous confirmation cemented Prophet Hezekiah's faith and his connection to the Mountain of Mercy.

The Birth of ERIO Power Explosion

Years later, in 2003, after 21 days of intensive fasting and prayers, God encountered Prophet Hezekiah again with a specific instruction: he was to start a yearly 7-day revival program every month of June. When he asked what the program should be called, God's response was clear:

💥

"Apostle Ayo Babalola Power Explosion."

Thus began the annual ERIO Power Explosion — a program that has since grown to attract thousands of worshippers from across Nigeria and around the world, all coming to the Mountain of Mercy to experience the same power that Apostle Babalola unleashed in 1930.

Today, Prophet Hezekiah Oluboye Oladeji continues to lead this program with passion and unwavering faith, believing that the Mountain of Mercy remains God's appointed place for healing, deliverance, and supernatural breakthroughs.
